Graduate School Funding

UW Office of Student Financial Aid can assist students with a variety of financial aid options including grants and scholarships, work-study, student loans and state and federal financial aid.

The Graduate Opportunities & Minority Achievement Program (GO-MAP) also has links to funding opportunities.

Operating Fee Waiver
In July 2005, the University of Washington Regents approved an operating fee waiver, effective Autumn quarter 2005, for nonresident graduate and professional students. This is an annual waiver of the differential between resident and nonresident tuition. The waiver is for graduate and professional students who have lived in the state for at least one year (excepting students whose visa status precludes them from establishing permanent residency) and who have applied for resident status but failed to overcome the presumption they are residing in Washington primarily for educational purposes.
