The overarching goal of the study is to investigate the notion of identity—be it immigrant, religious, ethnic, national, or language, which has been one of the fundamental questions of philosophy from Socrates to Freud, among Turkish Americans in the region. It seeks to find answers to how immigrants define themselves and what identity continues to mean in the Turkish American culture. This study is being conducted in collaboration with University of Washington Libraries, and it aims to create a digital archive of Turkish American immigrants in PNW Region.  Learn more
